In a remarkable artistic achievement, 73 students from the School of Fine Arts & Design at Noida International University (NIU) have etched their names in the India Book of Records by painting 108 forms of Lord Shiva in just 108 minutes. The record was set at Shiva Fest during Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, a sacred event that draws millions of devotees and artists from across the country.
The feat was accomplished in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Lalit Kala Academy, making it a proud moment for both the university and the nation.
Dr. Nihar Das, Dean of the School of Fine Arts & Design at NIU, expressed his pride in the students, stating, “We congratulate all the participants for showcasing their artistic talent and securing this historic record. At NIU, we encourage students to participate in national and international events to refine their skills and gain recognition.”
Mahakumbh, known as the world’s largest human congregation, witnessed a blend of spirituality and culture, with NIU students contributing through their unique artistic expression. This achievement not only highlights their exceptional talent but also reinforces their deep-rooted connection to India’s cultural and spiritual heritage.
NIU continues to foster artistic excellence, providing students with platforms to make significant contributions to the arts on both national and global stages.
