Centric Software announced that Australian footwear and apparel brand R.M.Williams has gone live with Centric PLM to strengthen cross-functional collaboration and streamline product development processes.
Founded in 1932, R.M.Williams manufactures handcrafted leather boots and belts in Adelaide, South Australia. The company has expanded into footwear, apparel and accessories for men, women and children, operating 65 retail stores across Australia along with locations in New Zealand, the UK and the US.
According to the company, the implementation was aimed at creating governed libraries, standardized data principles and a single source of truth to support the brand’s global expansion and category growth. The platform was integrated with the company’s broader technology ecosystem, including ERP and downstream systems.
“Centric Software stood out for its industry-aligned frameworks, hands-on implementation support and proven track record with global fashion and footwear brands,” Louise Peck, Head of Product and Design Operations at R.M.Williams, said in a statement.
Peck said the implementation would help the company build trust in product data, improve collaboration across teams and support its sustainability strategy, “Crafting a Better Future”. She added that the project remained within the agreed scope and budget, while structured enablement sessions supported adoption across teams.
The company said the go-live includes R.M.Williams’ Core collection and SS28 seasonal ranges running through Centric PLM, replacing disconnected workflows with a shared system connecting product development, manufacturing and downstream platforms.
“Cross-functional alignment across Design, Product Development, Sourcing, Buying and Garment Tech has been the most valuable early outcome,” Peck said.
Fabrice Canonge, CEO of Centric Software, said the company was pleased to support R.M.Williams in modernizing its product development operations as it expands globally.
