Noida International University (NIU) successfully hosted Lakshya 2.0, a prestigious three-day inter-university sports tournament that brought together over 1,000 students from 32 universities and colleges across Delhi NCR. Organized by NIU’s Department of Sports, the event featured ten competitive sports, highlighting exceptional athletic talent, teamwork, and determination.
The tournament fostered a spirit of sportsmanship and healthy competition among students. Winners and runners-up were honored with trophies, medals, certificates, and prize money, recognizing their outstanding performances.
The opening ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Manish Kumar, Senior Sports Administrator, who encouraged the young athletes. The event was also backed by prominent sponsors, including Sierra Appliances Pvt. Ltd, Tree House Creations Pvt. Ltd, Unique Infra & Sustainable Power Pvt. Ltd, Innovation Glass, Bahuja Law Academy, and JJDJ Interiors Pvt. Ltd.
With overwhelming participation and enthusiastic spectators, Lakshya 2.0 set a new benchmark for university-level sports tournaments, promising an even bigger edition in the future.
Beyond sports, NIU continues to engage students with academic and cultural initiatives. The School of Allied Health Sciences recently organized a seminar on PCR and FNAC, focusing on advancements in laboratory medicine. Additionally, the School of Liberal Arts hosted a panel discussion on women empowerment, while the university also welcomed delegates from Washington to strengthen international collaborations.
NIU also celebrated the Independence Day of Bangladesh, emphasizing cultural unity and global solidarity among students and faculty.
