CloudTV, an Indian smart TV operating system provider, has partnered with smart TV manufacturer itel to expand access to connected entertainment across India.
Under the collaboration, CloudTV OS will power itel’s A32QHX, A32AQHX, A43QFX and A43AQUX smart TV models. The partnership aims to combine CloudTV’s technology platform with itel’s retail network to make smart TV features accessible to consumers across metropolitan and emerging markets.
The CloudTV platform offers an intuitive user interface, a dedicated app row, universal search and a multilingual voice assistant to help users discover and access content. It also provides a smartphone-based remote application for navigating the television interface.
The itel models powered by CloudTV OS include 32-inch HD, 43-inch Full HD and 43-inch 4K UHD variants. The range features QLED IPS displays, 48W box speakers with dedicated tweeters and a built-in free-to-air satellite tuner.
Abhijeet Rajpurohit, Co-founder and COO of CloudTV, said the partnership would help make connected entertainment more accessible by combining technology, content discovery and affordability.
Arijeet Talapatra, CEO of itel India, said the collaboration would bring together picture quality, sound and content discovery features to address growing consumer demand for smart televisions.
The company said itel televisions would be available through retail chains including SS Retail, Poojara and Tek Easy, along with its distributor and retailer network across India. Festive-season financing options, including zero-down-payment EMI schemes through Bajaj, TVS and Home Credit, are also being offered.
Through the partnership, both companies aim to expand smart TV adoption across Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets.
