Comic Con India will begin its 2026–27 season in Visakhapatnam (Vizag), with the first edition in Andhra Pradesh scheduled for October 10 and 11 at the Kalam Convention Centre.
The Vizag edition will mark Comic Con India’s debut in the city and will feature activities including cosplay showcases, panel discussions, international guests, live entertainment, exclusive launches and interactive fan experiences.
The event is expected to bring together comic book enthusiasts, gamers, creators, cosplayers and followers of anime and other forms of pop culture.
Shefali Johnson, CEO, Comic Con India, said Vizag has a growing community of anime, cosplay and student enthusiasts, along with a strong connection to Telugu cinema. She said the event would provide a platform for local cultural influences and newer forms of pop culture to come together.
Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and MD, NODWIN Gaming, said the company aims to take pop culture experiences to audiences beyond major metropolitan cities. He added that Vizag was chosen as the starting point for the new season amid growing interest in fandom communities outside traditional metros.
Comic Con India has expanded to multiple cities since its acquisition by NODWIN Gaming. According to the company, its previous season travelled across 11 cities and recorded more than 3.5 lakh attendees.
Tickets for the Vizag edition are available through the official Comic Con India ticketing platform.
