Air India Expands Self Check-In & Baggage Drop to EU, UK and Canada Destinations

Air India has expanded its integrated self-check-in and baggage drop service to cover all its destinations in Europe, the UK-+ and Canada. This move brings the total number of international airports offering the facility to 19, reinforcing the airline’s focus on enhancing passenger convenience and leveraging technology for a seamless travel experience.

Previously available on Air India flights to the US and Australia, the self-service option is now extended to airports including London Heathrow and Gatwick, Birmingham, Paris, Vienna, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Milan, Zurich, Toronto, and Vancouver.

The service allows passengers flying from India to these destinations to check in, print boarding passes and baggage tags, and drop their bags without queuing at counters. The kiosks also support seat selection, contact detail updates, and frequent flyer number integration.

This development follows a series of customer-centric initiatives by the airline, such as the Premium Lobby for premium class check-ins, Family Assistance counters at Delhi airport, city-side check-in counters at Delhi and Hyderabad, and the roll-out of self-service facilities across domestic and international terminals.

“These upgrades are part of our commitment to creating a world-class travel experience for our customers,” the airline stated, noting improvements in customer satisfaction as reflected in rising NPS scores.
