China’s Mizuda Adopts Centric PLM to Strengthen Customer-Focused Product Development

Zhejiang Mizuda Textile Printing & Dyeing Co., Ltd., a Chinese textile manufacturer, has selected Centric PLM, a product lifecycle management (PLM) platform developed by Centric Software, to streamline its research and development (R&D) processes and improve customer-focused product innovation.

Mizuda, which has over three decades of experience in textile printing and dyeing, produces around 100 million metres of fabric annually and exports to customers in more than 60 countries. Its product range includes corduroy, khaki, linen, printed, dyed and functional fabrics.

The company said increasing product data, customer requirements and process complexity had made its existing R&D systems less efficient. Information spread across multiple systems reduced visibility and slowed decision-making, prompting the need for a unified digital platform.

According to Mizuda, the new PLM system will connect product development with manufacturing processes, standardise workflows and improve collaboration across departments. The platform is also expected to help create reusable product data, improve traceability and better align product development with customer demand.

Long Fangsheng, General Manager of Mizuda, said the company selected Centric Software because of its industry expertise and ability to support business process transformation rather than simply providing software.

Centric Software CEO Fabrice Canonge said the partnership will help Mizuda strengthen its digital transformation efforts by integrating trend research, design, manufacturing and service into a connected data system.

The companies have already begun implementation planning, with phased milestones for system development, testing and deployment. The project is expected to support Mizuda’s long-term digital transformation and product innovation strategy.
