
VENUS Safety & Health Pvt. Ltd. said it is expanding its personal protective equipment (PPE) and air filtration portfolio and preparing new product launches as part of its growth strategy aligned with India’s manufacturing push.
Founded in 1986 and headquartered in Navi Mumbai, the company manufactures respiratory protection, firefighting systems, industrial helmets, hearing protection devices, safety eyewear and advanced air filtration systems. It said its operations are aligned with the government’s Make in India initiative, focusing on domestic production to reduce import dependence.
The company operates seven manufacturing facilities with a combined area of over six lakh sq. ft. and a daily installed capacity of up to 1.5 million units. Operations are ISO 9001:2015 certified and supported by in-house testing laboratories. The company said its evaluation processes align with standards including BIS, NIOSH and CE.
VENUS Safety exports to more than 32 countries across the Middle East, Europe and the United States. It reported ongoing investments in research and development, resulting in patented features in respiratory protection systems.
The firm employs over 900 people, with women accounting for about 85 per cent of its workforce. It also reported local hiring initiatives and participation in skill development programmes, including the Samarth Scheme, with plans to implement the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDUGKY) in Maharashtra.
