Gupta, a first-time MLA from Shalimar Bagh, expressed gratitude to her party and supporters. She emphasized her commitment to tackling key issues in Delhi, such as pollution control, infrastructure development and improving education and healthcare services.
Along with Gupta, six ministers were sworn into the Delhi cabinet: Parvesh Verma, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ravinder Indraj Singh, Kapil Mishra, and Pankaj Kumar Singh. The new leadership is expected to bring significant changes to the city’s governance.
The BJP’s recent electoral victory in Delhi marked its return to power after 27 years, securing 48 out of 70 seats. The party’s campaign focused on promises such as better public education, free healthcare, free electricity, and financial assistance for women from underprivileged backgrounds.
As the fourth woman to become Chief Minister of Delhi, Gupta’s leadership is expected to bring fresh momentum to the city’s development and welfare initiatives.
