Param Foundation has inaugurated ParSEC Whitefield, a 30,000 sq. ft. science and innovation centre in Bengaluru, aimed at expanding access to experiential learning and public engagement with science.
The facility was inaugurated by K. Radhakrishnan and Kris Gopalakrishnan, in the presence of educators, scientists and industry representatives.
Designed as a “living lab”, the centre is expected to engage over one lakh visitors annually, including students, educators and professionals, through interactive exhibits, workshops and public programmes. The initiative builds on the earlier ParSEC Jayanagar facility, which has hosted over 75,000 visitors and conducted multiple workshops and training sessions.
According to the foundation, ParSEC Whitefield includes interactive galleries, makerspaces, demonstration zones and collaborative environments covering themes such as artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, optics, electricity, geometry and design thinking.
Devananda R. Gaddam, Executive Trustee of Param Foundation, said the centre aims to promote scientific temper and lifelong learning. K. Radhakrishnan said the initiative helps make scientific concepts more accessible, while Kris Gopalakrishnan noted its role in fostering experimentation and innovation.
Located in Whitefield, a major technology hub, the facility will also conduct educator training and innovation-led programmes to support skill development and critical thinking.
