Founder Mansi Panpalia Raises Creator Economy, Workplace Policy Issues at ‘Lunch With Rekha Gupta’

Mansi Panpalia, Co-Founder of OpraahFx, recently raised questions on the future of India’s creator economy and workplace policies affecting women during an interaction with Rekha Gupta at the “Lunch With Rekha Gupta” event.

During the discussion, Panpalia highlighted the growing influence of digital creators and influencers in shaping modern media and culture. She asked about the government’s budget allocation for the creator economy and how policymakers plan to support influencers while positioning Delhi as a hub for digital talent.

Responding to the query, Gupta said that the government has announced a dedicated budget to support creators, influencer marketing and the broader creator ecosystem. She also spoke about the concept of the Orange Economy, which aims to strengthen creative industries and support artists, creators and digital professionals in the capital.

The conversation also touched upon workplace issues affecting women, including the topic of menstrual leave in government offices. Panpalia raised concerns about supportive policies for women employees, to which Gupta acknowledged the issue and said the government is examining the matter.

The interaction highlighted the increasing role of the creator economy in policy discussions and the contribution of women entrepreneurs in bringing attention to workplace wellbeing and emerging digital industries.
