Galgotias University said students under its iOS Student Developer Program, supported by Apple and Infosys, have developed 34 applications currently live on the Apple App Store across sectors including artificial intelligence, healthcare, education and social impact.
The university said the initiative is part of its broader focus on future-oriented domains such as app development, artificial intelligence, robotics, entrepreneurship, data science and digital product innovation.
According to the institution, the iOS Student Developer Program offers students practical exposure to Swift programming, UI/UX design, product development, testing, deployment and user-centred thinking through hands-on learning and collaborative projects.
Students have developed applications across categories including education, accessibility, wellbeing, productivity, lifestyle and utility, with several apps aimed at addressing social and everyday challenges.
The university said more student-developed products are currently under development and testing stages for future launch.
Dr. Dhruv Galgotia said technology education should focus on building actionable solutions for real-world challenges.
“We are proud that our students are building products that can be used by people beyond the campus. This milestone reflects the imagination, discipline and ambition of our students,” he said.
The university said faculty mentors work closely with students throughout the app development process, helping them refine ideas, understand user requirements and move projects from prototype stage to launch.
In another achievement, 18 students from the university won the Apple Swift Student Challenge 2026, which the institution claimed was the highest representation from any private university in India. The winning applications covered areas such as accessibility, healthcare, education, augmented reality and artificial intelligence.
The university said the growth of the iOS Student Developer Program reflects its continuing emphasis on innovation-led and industry-aligned learning.
