Air India Express has expanded its domestic network with the addition of multiple new routes under its summer schedule, strengthening connectivity between metro cities and key regional destinations.
The airline said the new services will enhance direct connectivity from major hubs including Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata to cities such as Ahmedabad, Bagdogra, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Kochi and Patna.
As part of the expansion, the airline has introduced direct services connecting Mumbai with Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Dehradun and Patna. It has also launched routes linking Ahmedabad with Chandigarh and Dehradun.
Additionally, new services will connect Pune and Chennai with Bagdogra, a key leisure destination. The Pune–Bagdogra route will be operated exclusively by the airline with a frequency of five flights per week.
The expanded schedule, effective May 1, 2026, also includes the reinstatement of select routes such as Bagdogra–Chennai, Delhi–Kochi and Hyderabad–Ranchi, in line with seasonal demand.
According to the airline, the network addition will increase operational frequencies across key stations, including 393 weekly flights from Delhi and 174 from Mumbai, among others.
Bookings for the new routes are open through the airline’s website, mobile application and authorised travel partners.
