University of Leeds Opens Applications for BSc Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) for Indian Students

The University of Leeds has opened applications for its three-year BSc Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) programme, inviting Indian students to apply for the September 2026 intake. The future-focused undergraduate course is designed to prepare students for careers in artificial intelligence and computing by combining strong computer science fundamentals with specialised AI training.

As artificial intelligence continues to transform sectors such as healthcare, finance, smart infrastructure, and digital entertainment, the programme equips students with in-demand skills including algorithms, data structures, systems design, machine learning, deep learning, and text analytics. The curriculum focuses on solving real-world problems through both theoretical learning and practical application.

Students benefit from teaching that is informed by world-class research and delivered by academic experts in areas such as algorithms, distributed systems, and artificial intelligence. The programme also offers opportunities for optional industrial placements after the second year and study abroad experiences, allowing students to gain valuable international and industry exposure.

Entry requirements for Indian students include an overall average of 75–80% for CBSE, CISCE, or West Bengal Board applicants, and 80–85% for state board applicants, with Mathematics as a mandatory subject. English language requirements include 70–75% in Class XII English (depending on board) or an IELTS score of 6.5 overall.

The course begins in September 2026 and applications must be submitted through UCAS, with the final deadline set for 30 June 2026. Tuition fees are £32,750 (approximately ₹34.15 lakh).

Indian students are eligible for an automatic £5,000 tuition fee reduction, along with the International Excellence Scholarship, which offers up to a 50% fee reduction for selected candidates.
