Innovative Product Launch: SBA-17 RDX Helmet at Rs. 1199

Marking its 60th anniversary with a flourish, Steelbird introduces the revolutionary SBA-17 RDX helmet. This open-face helmet boasts a robust thermoplastic shell, replaceable cheek pads, an elegantly crafted interior, high-density EPS for optimal impact resistance, and a scratch-resistant polycarbonate visor featuring an integrated Inner Sun Shield. To express gratitude, the initial 100,000 buyers will receive a complimentary smoke visor. Moreover, the brand plans to unveil 70 new helmet models in 2024.

Expansion of Manufacturing Capacity

Steelbird is injecting over Rs 250 crore into erecting a cutting-edge manufacturing facility in southern India. The company is scouting for suitable land in and around Hosur, Tamil Nadu, to establish this plant, strategically positioned to meet the escalating demand for helmets in the aftermarket and among original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the southern region. Concurrently, production capacity is being ramped up at the existing plants in Baddi, targeting an output of 50,000 units per day.

Retail Footprint Amplification

With an eye on extensive growth, Steelbird is aggressively expanding its Riderz Shoppe network, aiming to add 800 additional stores by the close of 2025. These specialized outlets offer a wide array of helmets, riding attire, and accessories, delivering a bespoke shopping experience tailored to the biking community while actively advocating for the use of ISI-certified helmets.

Steelbird’s unwavering dedication to innovation and safety has cemented its status as the world’s premier helmet manufacturer, with a staggering 80 lakh units sold globally in 2023 alone. The company’s group revenue surged to an impressive 687 crores in the calendar year 2023.
