With forecasts hinting at one of the coldest winters in recent years due to the La Niña effect, sustainable fashion brand UNIREC has unveiled its Classic Winter Hoodie, designed to offer both warmth and environmental responsibility.
Crafted from 70% RPET (recycled polyester) and 30% cotton, each hoodie helps recycle 12 PET bottles, combining comfort with conscious design. The unisex hoodie, available in classic blue, black, and grey, reflects UNIREC’s effort to make sustainability stylish and accessible for all.
According to the World Economic Forum, the fashion industry produces nearly 92 million tonnes of textile waste annually, while India alone generates 7–9 million tonnes. With less than 20% of textile waste recycled globally, UNIREC’s initiative underscores the growing importance of sustainable apparel choices.
Commenting on the launch, Kapil Bhatia, Founder & CEO of UNIREC, said, “With experts predicting one of the coldest winters in recent years, the timing of our Classic Hoodie launch could not be more perfect. At UNIREC, we believe in creating apparel that keeps people comfortable while also being kind to the planet.”
Staying true to its ethos, UNIREC continues to promote eco-conscious fashion through innovative fabrics and responsible manufacturing processes, ensuring style and sustainability go hand in hand.
The Classic Hoodie is now available through UNIREC’s online store.
