TripGain Launches SME-Focused Travel Program to Cut Costs and Boost Efficiency

Travel-tech startup TripGain has launched a dedicated SME Program aimed at reducing costs and inefficiencies for small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs), which form the backbone of India’s economy.

SMEs represent nearly 90% of businesses worldwide and account for 40% of GDP in emerging markets (World Bank). Despite their scale and contribution, SMEs often face higher travel costs and fragmented booking systems compared to large corporates. According to the Business Travel News 2025 SME Report, SMEs now make up the majority of corporate travel spending globally but lack access to enterprise-grade tools.

India’s business travel expenditure stood at USD 38.2 billion in 2023-24 (FICCI–GBTA Index), yet most smaller firms still rely on manual bookings, resulting in productivity loss and higher costs.

TripGain’s new initiative addresses these challenges by offering negotiated fares, GST-compliant bookings, transparent cancellation fees starting from ₹99, cashback incentives, and 24×7 assistance—benefits typically reserved for large corporates.

“SMEs form the backbone of India’s economy, but ironically, they pay more for business travel than large corporates. Our SME Initiative gives small businesses the same advantages as Fortune 500 companies, without the complexity or cost,” said Sudheer Reddy, Co-founder, TripGain.

“From cashback on every booking to policy-driven workflows, we’re giving SMEs back their time and productivity. The goal is simple: make business travel smarter, stress-free, and aligned with how Indian SMEs actually operate,” added Ranga Prasad, Co-founder, TripGain.

TripGain believes that making travel more efficient will be a key enabler for the next phase of SME growth in India.
