Thapar Institute and Patiala Foundation Collaborate on Heritage Walk for Student Well-being

Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET) partnered with the Patiala Foundation to organise a Heritage Walk for Mental Health Student Ambassadors (MHSAs) of the Thapar Institute Counselling Cell (TICC) at the Musafir Memorial Central State Library, Patiala. The initiative aimed to help students connect with local culture while promoting mental well-being and a sense of community.

The walk was part of the Patiala Foundation’s 17th Foundation Day celebrations and recognised TIET students for their active participation in community-focused projects. The collaboration also strengthens efforts around road safety and student welfare.

Chief Guest Anindita Mitra, Administrative Secretary, Department of Higher Education and School Education, Government of Punjab, appreciated the Foundation and its founder, Ravee Singh Ahluwalia, for promoting responsible citizenship and cultural awareness.

Sonam Dullat, Head of TICC, highlighted that such heritage walks encourage students to step away from fast-paced routines, reflect, and appreciate Patiala’s rich history.

Following the event’s success, the Patiala Foundation confirmed plans to expand future initiatives with TIET to continue building responsible and culturally aware youth leaders.
