Taiwan Excellence Showcases Cutting-Edge Manufacturing Tools at IMTEX 2025, Strengthening India-Taiwan Industrial Collaboration

Taiwan Excellence (TE) has made a powerful statement at IMTEX 2025, South and South-East Asia’s premier machine tools and manufacturing technology exhibition. Held at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) from January 23 to 29, the TE pavilion features innovations from 13 prominent Taiwanese brands, including AXISCO, AutoGrip, CHMER, HIWIN, and SYNTEC.

India, now the fourth-largest importer of Taiwanese machine tools, is seeing stronger trade ties with Taiwan. In 2024, Taiwan’s machine tool exports to India surged by 20.8% year-on-year, reaching USD 145.87 million.

On the event’s opening day, Taiwan Excellence hosted a product launch session titled “Crafting Excellence for a Progressive Tomorrow.” Five leading brands—CHMER, Quaser, Palmary, Syntec, and Hiwin—unveiled groundbreaking technologies designed to enhance India’s manufacturing capabilities:

  • CHMER UA432L Wire Cut EDM: A precision-driven solution for electronics, automotive, and medical manufacturing with 48 patented technologies.
  • PALMARY Grinding Systems: Dual spindles enabling multiple-dimension grinding in one setup, with automation for accuracy and mass production.
  • QUASER Machining Centers: Optimized for mass production and automation, delivering cost efficiency and reliability.
  • HIWIN i4.0GW®: Predictive maintenance technology for efficiency in semiconductor and automation applications.
  • SYNTEC Control Systems: Advanced 5-axis machining solutions featuring smart maintenance and data security.

Mr. Richard Chen, Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre in Chennai, emphasized Taiwan’s commitment to India’s industrial growth. “India is a global leader in machinery and automotive manufacturing. Taiwan is proud to partner with India’s transformation through Industry 4.0 and IoT, providing advanced machine tools aligned with the ‘Make in India’ initiative.”

Shri M G Balakrishna, President of FKCCI, lauded Taiwan’s contributions, stating, “The technologies unveiled at IMTEX 2025 will help Indian manufacturers improve efficiency, product quality, and sustainability.
