Swinburne University of Technology has opened applications for its Master of Engineering Science programme, with the next intake scheduled to begin on September 29, 2026.
The two-year postgraduate programme is aimed at engineering graduates seeking advanced technical knowledge and research experience. The course combines specialised engineering subjects with practical research and a major engineering research thesis.
Students can study areas related to engineering project management, professional practice and research methods, along with specialised subjects based on their chosen discipline. The programme is designed to develop technical and research skills relevant to sectors such as infrastructure, manufacturing, energy, telecommunications and advanced technologies.
The Master of Engineering Science can be completed through two years of full-time study or an equivalent part-time option. Students will have the opportunity to investigate engineering problems through independent research as part of their thesis.
Applicants are required to hold a recognised Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree involving at least four years of full-time study in a relevant discipline, or meet equivalent university requirements.
The application deadline is August 26, 2026. Applicants are required to demonstrate English language proficiency, with an IELTS overall score of 6.5 and no individual band below 6.0, or an equivalent qualification.
The listed tuition fee for the programme is AUD 47,420. Graduates may pursue engineering and technical roles in areas including consulting, design, research, infrastructure, telecommunications, and manufacturing.
