Swinburne University Opens Applications for Bachelor of ICT for 2027 Intake

Swinburne University of Technology has opened applications for its Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) programme for the 2027 intake.

The three-year undergraduate degree is designed to provide students with practical skills across programming, web and app development, networking, data management and software development.

Students can specialise through three majors — Information Technology, Network Technology and Software Technology. The programme also includes industry-linked projects under Swinburne’s Work Integrated Learning approach, allowing students to work on practical ICT challenges.

Students complete six professionally focused, industry-linked projects and can opt for six- or 12-month professional placements to gain workplace experience before graduation. The programme is professionally accredited by the Australian Computer Society.

The course is offered through full-time study at Swinburne’s Hawthorn campus, with part-time study also available.

Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification or an equivalent international qualification and meet the university’s admission requirements. English-language requirements include an IELTS overall score of 6.0, with no individual band below 6.0, or an equivalent qualification.

The programme begins on March 1, 2027, with applications closing on January 15, 2027. Tuition fees are AUD 42,600 per year.

Graduates can pursue roles including web developer, software designer, security consultant and mobile application developer.
