Steelbird Baby Toys, a division of Steelbird Hi-Tech India, has announced a ₹10 crore investment to expand its presence in the infant and toddler toy segment. The announcement was made during the 16th Toy Biz International B2B Expo 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
The company is scaling up its manufacturing and R&D capabilities and has acquired a new 65,000 sq. ft unit to support its “Made in India” mission. Known globally for its helmets, Steelbird entered the toy space with a focus on child safety and development.
“Our goal is to offer Indian parents safe, engaging, and thoughtfully designed toys,” said Ms. Srishti Kapur, Director, Steelbird Toys. “This investment will help us enhance quality, increase production, and broaden our market reach.”
The new product line features developmental toys for children aged 0 months to 10 years, including a 5-in-1 baby walker, multi-activity push walker, and 360° swing car. All products are developed at Steelbird’s Noida-based R&D centre with contributions from European designers and meet BIS safety standards.
With over 3,000 retail outlets and 150 distributors, Steelbird plans to launch experience stores for direct consumer engagement. The company aims to reach a ₹100 crore turnover by 2030.
Steelbird’s expansion reflects the growing momentum of Indian brands in the toy industry, backed by quality manufacturing and a strong focus on child safety.
