Skye Air, a leading drone logistics provider, is revolutionizing healthcare delivery in partnership with the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY). Leveraging drone technology, Skye Air is enhancing healthcare logistics across five AIIMS facilities under the PMJAY scheme: Jodhpur, Patna, Deoghar, Manipur, and Mangalagiri.
This initiative, part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ₹12,850 crore health sector expansion, addresses the challenge of healthcare accessibility, especially in remote areas. Drones facilitate the rapid transportation of medical supplies, ensuring timely access to medicines and equipment for underserved communities.
Ankit Kumar, CEO of Skye Air, emphasized, “With the Ayushman Bharat Scheme’s expansion, drone technology is bridging healthcare gaps. Our logistics solutions are pivotal in delivering lifesaving medicines and essential supplies to regions lacking infrastructure.”
Using StarLiner and Artemis drones equipped with temperature-controlled boxes, Skye Air ensures efficient and reliable transportation of medical resources. These drones, designed for substantial payloads, overcome logistical challenges like difficult terrains and inadequate transport systems.
This initiative aligns with the PMJAY’s mission to improve healthcare equity, marking a significant step in integrating advanced technology into public healthcare. It also sets a precedent for drone applications in healthcare logistics, showcasing India’s leadership in innovation-driven healthcare delivery.
Skye Air’s collaboration underlines the transformative potential of drones in enhancing the quality, speed, and accessibility of healthcare services nationwide.
