Shri. Pratap Sarnaik Graces CREDAI-MCHI’s 32nd Property and Home Finance Expo, Highlighting Inclusivity and Empowerment

The 32nd Property and Home Finance Expo, “Mall of Homes,” organized by CREDAI-MCHI, concluded its third day with an impactful visit from Shri. Pratap Sarnaik, Minister of Transport, Maharashtra. The event, celebrated as “Pink Day,” saw an inspiring turnout of over 58,000 visitors and the booking of 18 properties within just 10 minutes, signaling a significant shift towards faster and seamless home buying.

A key focus of the event was promoting gender inclusivity in real estate. Smt. Sujata Saunik, Chief Secretary of Maharashtra, in her keynote address, emphasized the importance of empowering women in homeownership. “Homeownership is not just about property; it’s about safety, freedom, and building dreams,” she stated. This was echoed by other leaders, including Mr. Domnic Romell, President of CREDAI-MCHI, who pointed out that women’s homeownership in Maharashtra is alarmingly low at 1.89%. Initiatives such as a ₹2 lakh offer for women buyers were unveiled to address this imbalance.

The event also hosted dynamic sessions, including one on “Women Leading the Way: Entrepreneurial Pathways,” with industry leaders sharing their strategies for inclusivity in real estate. The “Breaking the Binary” discussion explored housing challenges faced by the LGBTQIA+ community, emphasizing the need for inclusive urban spaces.

The expo highlighted groundbreaking initiatives like Gay Housing Assistance Resource (GHAR), fostering inclusion for marginalized groups. This innovative approach to real estate signifies a shift towards a more inclusive future.
