RRP Defense Limited (BSE: 530929) has announced a strategic collaboration with Israel-based Meprolight Ltd., a global leader in electro-optics, night-vision devices and weapon sight systems. The partnership aims to bring next-generation electro-optic technology to India through joint distribution, assembly, and future local manufacturing.
Under the agreement, both companies will work together on the sales and distribution of Meprolight’s advanced products for India’s military and law-enforcement agencies. The collaboration also includes co-development of pricing and commercial strategies.
A key highlight of the partnership is Meprolight’s planned technology transfer to RRP Defense. This will support assembly, testing and integration activities at RRP Defense’s Mahape facility in line with the Government of India’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives. Over the long term, the companies will explore local manufacturing of select electro-optic systems with support from RRP Electronics and other Indian partners.
RRP Defense Chairman Rajendra Chodankar said the collaboration reinforces India’s capabilities in precision defence manufacturing. “Integrating world-class electro-optic technology at our Mahape facility allows us to deliver domestically assembled, battle-tested solutions to the Indian Armed Forces,” he said.
RRP Defense has expanded its portfolio in recent years through acquisitions and partnerships across electro-optics, UAV systems and anti-drone technologies. Meprolight, with decades of combat experience, is known globally for its reliable and high-precision electro-optic solutions.
