River Mobility enters Nepal, opens first international store in Kathmandu

Electric two-wheeler manufacturer River Mobility has entered Nepal, opening its first international retail and service outlet in Kathmandu in partnership with Nepal-based Vishal Group.

Located in Naxal, the outlet will offer the company’s flagship electric scooter, Indie, along with accessories and merchandise. River has also established a dedicated service centre to support customers.

The company plans to expand beyond Kathmandu and establish a retail and service network across key cities in Nepal, according to the announcement.

River currently operates more than 90 stores across Indian markets, including Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Delhi-NCR, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. It aims to expand its domestic retail network to more than 400 stores by March 2028.

The Indie electric scooter is priced at NPR 3.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Kathmandu). Customers can access test rides, bookings and merchandise at the new outlet or explore and purchase products online through the company’s Nepal website.

Founded in March 2021 by Aravind Mani and Vipin George, Bengaluru-based River Mobility focuses on electric vehicles designed for everyday utility. Vishal Group, its Nepal partner, operates across sectors including automotive distribution, financial services and manufacturing.
