Noida International University (NIU) hosted an inspiring session for first-year B.Tech students and their parents, featuring renowned spiritual leader and motivational speaker Shri Amogh Lila Das Prabhu, Vice President of ISKCON Dwarka, as the Chief Guest.
The event began with a warm welcome by Prof. (Dr.) Uma Bhardwaj, Vice Chancellor of NIU, who emphasized the importance of the right education and guidance in shaping students’ lives. Dr. Tanya Singh, Dean Academics, highlighted how spirituality can help students overcome confusion and excessive dependence on technology.
In his session titled “Reel Life vs Real Life: Lessons for Today’s Students”, Shri Amogh Lila Das Prabhu drew a thought-provoking comparison between the glamorous portrayal of college life in films and the real-life responsibilities students face. He stressed the need for discipline, focus, and healthy habits, warning against the overuse of mobile phones, social media, and other distractions.
“Technology is an outstanding servant but a very bad master,” he reminded students, urging them to use it wisely, value their health, and balance fun with responsibility.
The interactive session concluded with Shri Amogh Lila Das Prabhu signing copies of the Bhagavad Gita and addressing students’ questions. A vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Akash Sharma, Director of Admissions & Outreach, who expressed gratitude for the spiritual guidance shared.
