Bajaj Auto Ltd. has launched a new television commercial for the all-new Pulsar 150, marking 25 years of the motorcycle brand and its advertising legacy. Conceptualised by Ogilvy, the campaign brings back the iconic characters from Pulsar’s 2001 launch commercial.
The new film features the same two nurses encountering something familiar beneath a white sheet, triggering a sense of déjà vu that takes them back to their original encounter. The story then unfolds with the reveal of the all-new Pulsar 150.
The sequel retains the energy and tempo of the original campaign while bringing the story into the present. Pulsar’s launch in 2001 helped create a new aspiration for performance motorcycling in India, bringing performance, attitude and excitement to a category largely defined by everyday mobility.
With over 20 million motorcycles sold worldwide, Pulsar has evolved into a global performance motorcycle brand. Its ‘Definitely Daring’ attitude continues to define its identity and evolution.
Speaking on the launch, Sumeet Narang, President, Marketing, Bajaj Auto Ltd., said the campaign celebrates Pulsar’s journey while presenting the all-new Pulsar 150 as the next expression of its enduring spirit.
Sukesh Nayak, Group Chief Creative Officer, Ogilvy India, said the sequel uses the familiarity of the original film to build anticipation and surprise audiences with a new turn in the story.
