Anand Kumar, founder of the Super 30 initiative and a Padma Shri awardee, interacted with students at Galgotias University, emphasising persistence, patience and sustained effort in navigating evolving career landscapes.
The session focused on how technological shifts are reshaping the nature of work and career pathways, prompting students to rethink traditional, linear career trajectories. Kumar highlighted the importance of building capabilities over time and staying committed despite uncertainties.
Drawing from his experience with Super 30, he stressed the value of revisiting fundamentals, working through concepts in depth, and allowing ideas the time needed to develop. He outlined four key principles for students—clarity of intent, a positive outlook, consistent hard work, and the patience to stay the course.
Kumar also reflected on challenges in his own journey, including phases marked by criticism and legal issues, noting that guidance from his mentor helped him refocus on his core mission of supporting students.
The interaction included a discussion with student representatives on career choices, academic pressure and maintaining motivation. Students were encouraged to remain focused and allow clarity to emerge through sustained effort.
Dhruv Galgotia, Chief Executive Officer of the university, said such engagements with practitioners and educators are important as students navigate changes in the world of work.
Kumar also reviewed the campus infrastructure and learning environment, encouraging students to make optimal use of available resources.
