Ova Ferticon 2026 brings over 200 delegates to Thane for reproductive medicine conference

Ova Ferticon 2026, a two-day reproductive medicine conference held on October 10–11 at Taj Vivanta, Thane, brought together over 200 delegates and 45 faculty members from five cities to discuss developments in fertility treatment, reproductive technology and maternal care.

Organised by Ova Fertility & Women Care in association with the Thane Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society (TOGS), the conference featured discussions on assisted reproductive technology (ART), embryology, maternal-fetal medicine, robotic surgery and fertility preservation for cancer patients.

Padma Shri awardee Dr Kamini Rao delivered the Ova Ferticon Oration on “The Art of ART: Evolution, Ethics & Excellence”. Sessions covered recurrent implantation failure, genetics in infertility, male-factor infertility and the use of artificial intelligence in embryo assessment and clinical decision-making. Experts also highlighted the importance of clinical validation, ethical safeguards and informed patient consent in AI-assisted reproductive healthcare.

A panel on oncofertility examined fertility preservation options for young cancer patients before treatment, while multidisciplinary discussions explored coordinated care from conception through high-risk pregnancy.

The programme included four practical workshops covering robotic surgery, andrology, intracytoplasmic sperm injection, embryo biopsy and testing for preeclampsia. The conference carried four Maharashtra Medical Council credit points.

The event also saw the launch of NextGen Reproductive Medicine, authored by Dr Snehal Kohale and Dr Sangeetha Kumar and published by Jaypee Brothers Medical Publishers.

Organisers announced the Ova Academic Circle, a monthly online initiative to promote continued learning and evidence-based discussions among reproductive medicine professionals. They said Ova Ferticon would be developed into an annual academic platform.
