Noida Police felicitates Galgotias University faculty at Mission Shakti Samaroh

Noida Police organised the Mission Shakti Samman Samaroh 2026 on April 9 at the Police Commissionerate office in Sector-110, Noida, recognising individuals for their contribution to women empowerment and community welfare.

The event, held under the fifth phase of Mission Shakti, aimed to acknowledge efforts in promoting social harmony, women’s safety, and resolution of family and community disputes.

DIG Rajeev Narain Mishra, Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), Gautam Buddh Nagar, attended as the chief guest and highlighted initiatives undertaken by the police for women’s safety, including awareness programmes, community engagement and support mechanisms.

Faculty members from Galgotias University — Prof. Dr. Shivangi Sharma (School of Law) and Prof. Dr. Kumar Ashutosh (School of Liberal Education) — were among those felicitated for their role in mediation and family dispute resolution.

Officials said the event also honoured women achievers from sectors such as banking, manufacturing, sports, media and social work for their professional contributions and involvement in initiatives promoting a safe and inclusive environment.

DCP Women Safety Anukriti Sharma outlined measures undertaken by the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police, including outreach programmes and initiatives aimed at improving accessibility and trust among women.

The programme saw participation from police officials, academicians, social workers and media representatives, and focused on strengthening collaboration between institutions and communities to support women-centric initiatives.
