NIU Students Shine Bright in NCC Republic Day Camp and Youth Exchange Programme

Three students from Noida International University (NIU) have made the university proud by being selected for the prestigious NCC Republic Day Camp (RDC) and shortlisted for the Youth Exchange Programme (YEP) from the UP Directorate, Ghaziabad Group. This achievement highlights their hard work, dedication, and exceptional talent.

The students—Gautam Krishna (School of Engineering and Technology), Nikhil Bhati (School of Allied Health Sciences), and Saran Bahadur (School of Business Management)—are undergoing training at Panchsheel Balak Inter College, Noida, from December 9 to 28, 2024. They will then proceed to Delhi Cantt, Dhaula Kuan, for rehearsals leading up to the grand Republic Day celebration on January 26, 2025, at Rajpath.

Out of 11 cadets selected from the Uttar Pradesh State Directorate, Gautam Krishna and Nikhil Bhati have secured spots in the international Youth Exchange Programme (YEP), while Saran Bahadur is named as a reserve candidate. The YEP offers cultural exchange opportunities with 15 countries, including Nepal, Singapore, the UK, and Russia, fostering global camaraderie.

Dr. Vikram Singh, Chancellor of NIU, congratulated the cadets and expressed immense pride in their success. Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Uma Bhardwaj and Registrar Dr. Mukesh Parashar also lauded the students’ achievements and wished them further success. Lt. Pratima Pandey, Dean of Student Welfare, emphasized that this milestone reflects NIU’s commitment to holistic student development.

The cadets’ success is a testament to NIU’s dedication to nurturing excellence and celebrating its students’ achievements with pride and enthusiasm.
