NIU Celebrates Guru Nanak Jayanti with ‘Seva – A Gift of Kindness’ Initiative

Noida International University (NIU) celebrated the spirit of Guru Nanak Jayanti with a meaningful event titled “Seva – A Gift of Kindness,” inspiring students to embrace the principle of selfless service. The initiative was jointly organized by the Cultural Committee and Vaayu Club in collaboration with Seva Group Foundation.

Held at the Seminar Hall, the event encouraged donations of books, clothes, blankets, stationery, and groceries, which were later handed over to Seva Group Foundation, an NGO dedicated to child education and welfare. The drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and non-teaching staff, turning the occasion into a collective act of compassion and social responsibility.

Dr. Tanya Singh, Dean Academics, Noida International University, shared, “At NIU, we believe education goes beyond academics—it’s about fostering humanity and responsibility towards society. ‘Seva – A Gift of Kindness’ embodies Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings of compassion, equality, and service.”

Through this initiative, NIU not only paid tribute to Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s timeless message of Seva but also reinforced its commitment to building a community that values empathy and service. The event served as a heartfelt reminder that true celebration lies in giving and sharing with others.
