Mobility Solutions Limited (MSL), a part of JCBL Group, has expanded its manufacturing facility in Batauli, Punjab, to cater to new industries with advanced composite solutions. The facility, covering 41,700 square meters with a 12,000-square-meter covered area, now extends beyond glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) manufacturing to serve sectors such as railways, automotive, defense, aerospace, and infrastructure.
This expansion represents a significant step in MSL’s growth strategy, enhancing its capabilities in composite materials while reinforcing its commitment to innovation and sustainability. Commercial production at the upgraded plant began in December 2024, with full operational capacity expected by July 2025.
With over two decades of expertise in FRP parts manufacturing, MSL has evolved from serving in-house requirements to becoming a leading supplier of composite solutions for metro projects, railways, and global clients, including Alstom and Wabtec. The strategic location of the Batauli facility offers proximity to JCBL Group’s manufacturing hubs, access to skilled labor, and efficient transport connectivity. Currently employing over 150 personnel, MSL plans to introduce new product lines and expand its workforce.
The expanded facility aims to:
- Advance MSL’s product portfolio for railways, automotive, defense, aerospace, and infrastructure.
- Establish a Centre of Excellence, integrating R&D, tooling, prototyping, manufacturing, and testing.
- Triple production capacity to meet growing domestic and international demand.
- Promote sustainability with lightweight, durable, and low-maintenance composite solutions.
The plant integrates green initiatives, including renewable energy systems, water conservation techniques, and waste reduction programs. A solar energy system is also in development to further support MSL’s sustainability goals.
