Senior living developer Manasum Senior Living has partnered with healthcare platform Tata 1mg to expand access to medical consultations, diagnostics, medicines and preventive healthcare services for residents across its communities.
The partnership comes as organised senior living operators increasingly look to integrate healthcare and wellness services into residential communities. The initiative will initially be implemented at Manasum Riva in north Bengaluru, covering around 230 residents, and is expected to be extended to the company’s Ikigai community in Goa.
Under the partnership, residents will have access to round-the-clock online consultations with general physicians and specialist consultations between 9 am and 9 pm. The programme will also include medical rooms supported by paramedic care, annual health check-up camps, vaccination drives, diagnostic services and pharmacy benefits through Tata 1mg’s healthcare platform.
The companies said the initiative is aimed at improving access to healthcare for senior citizens, particularly those managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases and arthritis.
India’s elderly population is projected to rise from around 162 million in 2025 to nearly 347 million by 2050, according to figures cited by the companies. The demographic shift is expected to increase demand for organised senior living models that combine residential facilities with healthcare and wellness services.
Over the next 12 to 24 months, Manasum and Tata 1mg plan to encourage greater adoption of preventive health check-ups, online consultations, diagnostics and medicine delivery services. The companies will also assess resident participation and service utilisation before considering an expansion of the programme to other Manasum communities.
Manasum Senior Living operates senior living projects across Karnataka, Goa and Andhra Pradesh and has plans to expand into other markets. Tata 1mg provides digital healthcare services including e-pharmacy, diagnostics and online consultations.
