Mahakumbh 2025: CM Yogi Adityanath Urges Devotees to Avoid Rumours Amid Stampede Concerns

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has appealed to devotees and saints attending Mahakumbh 2025 to avoid believing in rumours following a stampede incident at the grand religious gathering.

The Chief Minister assured that the administration is efficiently managing the crowd and ensuring safety. “Till 8:30 AM, approximately 3.5 crore pilgrims have taken the holy dip. The administration is doing its job, and I urge everyone not to believe any rumours,” Yogi Adityanath stated.

He emphasized that devotees can perform the Shahi Snan at any location along the Ganga, and it is not mandatory to take a dip at the Sangam Nose. Special instructions were given for senior citizens, children, and individuals with respiratory ailments to avoid overcrowded areas and take their dip safely.

“We seek the cooperation of devotees to ensure a smooth and secure pilgrimage experience,” the CM added.

With millions attending the Mahakumbh, authorities continue to monitor the situation, implementing strict crowd control measures to prevent further mishaps.
