Lohia Introduces Humsafar IK Tipper: A Green Solution for Waste Management

Lohia, a leader in India’s electric vehicle (EV) market, has unveiled the Humsafar IK Tipper, an eco-friendly utility vehicle designed to transform waste management practices. This fully electric vehicle is built for efficiency, durability, and sustainability, offering a zero-emission alternative to traditional diesel-powered garbage collection vehicles.

The Humsafar IK Tipper boasts a 6 kW motor, a 10 kWh battery delivering a range of over 100 km on a single charge, and a top speed of 48 km/h. Its battery charges fully in just 4 hours, minimizing downtime. With a starting price of ₹8 lakh, it’s an affordable green solution for industries aiming to reduce their environmental impact.

Designed for demanding tasks, the vehicle features a spacious collection box (1750x1485x1450 mm) and a robust Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 1047 kg. Its 220 mm ground clearance and 13-degree gradability ensure smooth navigation on uneven terrains, making it ideal for urban and semi-urban operations.

Safety and efficiency are key highlights, with hydraulic drum brakes and a digital instrument cluster for monitoring speed and battery life.

Ayush Lohia, CEO of Lohia, stated, “The Humsafar IK Tipper supports the government’s vision of cleaner cities by offering a practical, zero-emission vehicle tailored for waste management. This marks a significant step toward sustainable urban utility transportation.”
