Liferay has announced the general availability of its Content Marketing Platform (CMP), a new offering designed to help marketing teams plan, coordinate, launch and measure campaigns from a unified platform.
Liferay said CMP runs natively on its Content Management System (CMS), allowing campaign teams to use shared data, permissions and publishing infrastructure without maintaining separate integrations.
The platform enables teams to plan campaign content against target audiences and funnel stages through a Content Population Matrix, which can help identify content gaps before publication. Audience definitions established during planning can also be carried through the campaign workflow.
CMP provides task management with owners, deadlines and status tracking through calendar and Kanban views. Feedback can be converted into trackable tasks, while configurable approval workflows provide visibility into campaign progress.
Liferay said its digital asset management capabilities are integrated into the CMS, allowing brand assets to be accessed within campaign workflows.
Julia Molano, Director of Product Management at Liferay, said the platform is intended to address the challenges marketing teams face when coordinating content across multiple systems and vendors.
Liferay provides digital experience platform solutions for marketing, commerce, customer portals and intranets. The company said its open-source DXP is used by more than 1,000 companies globally.
