Indian health-tech startup Sunfox earns praise from Bill Gates at ICMR HQ

Indian health-tech startup Sunfox has gained global recognition, receiving praise from Bill Gates at the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) headquarters. Gates acknowledged Sunfox’s innovation in healthcare accessibility and shared his appreciation on social media, highlighting India’s role in advancing medical technology.

Gates noted how homegrown innovations like fetal monitoring systems, real-time TB detection, and streamlined medicine delivery are improving healthcare in India and beyond. Among these, Sunfox’s Spandan ECG stood out for its AI-driven heart diagnostics, offering real-time heart abnormality detection for underserved communities.

Rajat Jain, founder of Sunfox Technologies, expressed excitement over the recognition, emphasizing Spandan’s mission to prevent heart attacks and improve accessibility to quality medical devices. The startup was also showcased at ICMR HQ alongside esteemed leaders such as Dr. Ajay K. Sood, principal scientific adviser to the Government of India, Dr. Rajiv Bahl, director general of ICMR, and Trevor Mundel, president of global health at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

With increasing recognition and support, Sunfox is poised to expand beyond India, marking a significant step toward transforming global healthcare accessibility.
