Godavari Biorefineries Limited (GBL), a leader in renewable chemicals and biofuels, has signed an exclusive license agreement with Catalyxx Inc., granting GBL the rights to use Catalyxx’s advanced technology for converting ethanol into up to 30,000 tons of biobutanol and higher alcohols annually. This milestone positions GBL as a frontrunner in the global bio-based chemicals market.
In the first phase, GBL will establish a state-of-the-art facility to produce 15,000 metric tons of biobutanol and higher alcohols per year. This initiative is part of GBL’s commitment to decarbonization and sustainability, enhancing its portfolio with eco-friendly solutions made from renewable resources.
