GlobalFoundries (GF) India successfully hosted the latest edition of its flagship technical conference, GF India TeknIka 2025, highlighting its India Foundry Connect Program — an initiative designed to accelerate the journey from design to manufacturing for fabless semiconductor startups.
The program, aligned with India’s Design Linked Incentive (DLI) scheme, provides startups with access to GF’s advanced Product Design Kits (PDKs), GlobalShuttle™ Multi Project Wafer (MPW) fabrication, IP libraries, and engineering expertise. Since its launch in 2024, the program has seen growing participation from Indian startups and OEMs, fostering innovation in chip design and development.
“GF’s decade-long presence in India reflects our deep commitment to the country’s semiconductor growth story. Through the Foundry Connect Program, we are enabling local startups with scalable, reliable manufacturing solutions, helping them move from design to silicon,” said Jitendra Chaddah (JC), MD & India Country Head, GF India.
In collaboration with the India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) and SEMI India, GF aims to strengthen industry engagement and knowledge exchange among startups, academia, and policy stakeholders. Ashok Chandak, President of IESA and SEMI India, said the initiative complements India’s DLI and IESA’s Start Up Mitra programs, helping accelerate India’s semiconductor ecosystem growth.
GF India TeknIka 2025 served as a key platform to showcase GF’s technology roadmap, foster collaborations, and reinforce India’s role in the global semiconductor supply chain
