Galgotias University Ranked Among India’s Top 16 Private Universities in QS World University Rankings 2027

Galgotias University has been ranked among India’s top 16 private universities in the QS World University Rankings 2027, securing a place in the 1201–1400 global band, according to an announcement by the university.

The university said it was also ranked 46th among all public and private universities in India and third among private universities in Uttar Pradesh. The latest recognition comes after its performance in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026, where it was placed among the top 27 private universities in India and in the 1201–1500 global band.

According to the institution, the rankings reflect its performance across areas such as academic excellence, research, innovation, employability, internationalisation and industry engagement.

The university said it facilitated more than 5,100 placement offers for the graduating Class of 2026 through over 1,250 recruiters. It also reported incubating more than 135 startups on campus as part of its entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Galgotias University stated that it has expanded industry-linked learning through centres of excellence developed with industry partners and strengthened its research infrastructure, including high-performance computing facilities and international academic collaborations.

The university highlighted student achievements in technology, innovation and sports during the past year. It said students secured 18 wins in the Apple Swift Student Challenge 2026, won the top honour at EDVentures 2026 and earned five gold medals at the World Yogasana Championship 2026. It also reported that students had developed 58 applications currently available on the Apple App Store.

Commenting on the ranking, Suneel Galgotia said the recognition serves as an independent global benchmark of institutional quality and reflects the contributions of students, faculty, researchers, alumni and industry partners.

Dhruv Galgotia said the university’s performance in both QS and Times Higher Education rankings demonstrates its growing global competitiveness and validates investments made in research, innovation, industry partnerships and student outcomes.

The QS World University Rankings assess institutions on parameters including academic reputation, employer reputation, research impact, internationalisation, sustainability and graduate employability.

According to the university, its performance in the QS World University Rankings 2027 and the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026 further strengthens its position among emerging globally recognised higher education institutions from India.
