FAU-G: Domination Playtest Shines at IGDC 2024

Nazara Publishing’s highly anticipated military shooter, FAU-G: Domination, gained immense popularity during its playtest at the Indian Game Developer Conference (IGDC) 2024 in Hyderabad. The event, held from November 13 to 15, attracted nearly 1,000 participants, cementing the game’s status as a crowd favorite.

Developed by Mumbai-based Dot9 Games, the latest installment in the FAU-G franchise, which has amassed over 40 million downloads, received an enthusiastic response. Attendees praised its fluid gameplay, especially on mid and low-end devices, with 80% of players commending its performance.

The Arms Race mode emerged as the standout favorite, chosen by 70% of players over Team Deathmatch and 1v1 modes. Gunplay feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with 70% rating it as “good” to “excellent.” However, minor improvements were noted, with 10% reporting hitbox issues and 8% flagging technical challenges like overheating.

The developers plan more community-driven playtests before the game’s early 2025 release to address feedback and refine the gaming experience. With the Indian shooter market boasting over 500 million players, such initiatives are vital for competing in the global market.

Pre-registrations for FAU-G: Domination are live on the Google Play Store, offering players exclusive access to the Beast Collection, featuring limited-edition in-game cosmetics inspired by India’s national animal, the tiger.
