Evo Announces Global Expansion with New Ownership and Partnerships

The Evolution Championship Series (Evo), the world’s largest and longest-running fighting game festival, has announced a major international expansion backed by new ownership and long-term partnerships.

In a significant move, Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has sold its stake in Evo to NODWIN Gaming, which now joins RTS as co-owner. Despite the sale, SIE will remain a global sponsor of Evo through 2028, continuing to support the fighting game community via PlayStation Tournaments and upcoming gaming products.

NODWIN Gaming, a leading esports and youth entertainment company in South Asia, will help Evo broaden its global presence. “We will continue SIE’s great work while opening the door for a new generation to experience Evo,” said Akshat Rathee, Co-Founder and Managing Director of NODWIN Gaming.

Evo’s global partner Qiddiya has also deepened its commitment by investing in RTS and extending its partnership through 2027. This move, according to RTS CEO Stuart Saw, will drive “new opportunities, deeper connections, and meaningful growth” for the fighting game community.

The expansion aligns with Evo’s vision of delivering original content and immersive live event experiences. Evo’s flagship Las Vegas festival recently welcomed fans from over 60 countries, while Evo Japan set a record with 30,000 attendees. The festival is now preparing for its European debut in Nice, France (October 10–12, 2025), followed by expansion to Singapore in 2027.

Evo continues to establish itself as a global hub for fighting game culture, bringing together fans, players, and brands on an unprecedented scale.
