Dr Dhruv Galgotia Chairs Discussion on Student-Centric Teaching at QS India Summit in Goa

Dr Dhruv Galgotia, CEO of Galgotias University, chaired a high-level presidential roundtable on student-centric teaching at the QS India Summit held in Goa, the university said in a statement.

The roundtable brought together presidents, chancellors and vice chancellors from universities in India and abroad to discuss ways to make classroom learning more participatory, relevant and responsive to changing learner expectations.

The session was co-chaired by Prof Richard James, a higher education expert. Discussions focused on moving beyond traditional syllabus-driven models towards learning environments that promote student engagement, adaptability and future-readiness.

Participants examined how teaching practices can evolve in response to emerging technologies and the need for graduates to demonstrate critical thinking, creativity and leadership skills. The dialogue also covered the broader role of universities in preparing socially responsible and resilient graduates.

Speaking during the session, Dr Galgotia said that meaningful transformation in higher education begins in the classroom and emphasised the importance of student empowerment and active learning.

According to the university, Galgotias University’s participation in the summit reflects its engagement with international academic forums and its focus on contributing to discussions on progressive teaching and learning practices.

The QS India Summit is a platform that brings together higher education leaders to discuss trends, challenges and opportunities in the global education landscape.
