Congress’ Satish Luthra Blames AAP’s Satyendar Jain for Poor Roads and Waterlogging in Shakur Basti

At a public meeting in Shakur Basti on Sunday, Congress candidate Satish Luthra criticized Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Satyendar Jain for the area’s deteriorating roads and persistent waterlogging problems. Luthra pointed out the hardships residents face due to inadequate drainage systems in slums and colonies, attributing the neglect to Jain’s absence from public duties and his involvement in corruption charges leading to imprisonment.

Luthra recalled the 2015 incident where, according to him, nearly 500 families were rendered homeless due to the actions of both AAP and BJP. He accused AAP of betraying the public’s trust with unfulfilled promises and failing to address the area’s developmental needs.

“Our goal is to transform Shakur Basti into a beacon of development,” Luthra stated. He praised the Congress party’s track record under the leadership of Sheila Dikshit and highlighted its commitment to the welfare of the poor. Promising better infrastructure, education, healthcare, and electricity, he urged residents to support Congress in the upcoming elections to witness tangible progress.

Luthra concluded by envisioning Shakur Basti as a model of development for the entire city, reaffirming Congress’s dedication to solving public issues and enhancing the quality of life for all residents.
