Comic Con India has announced Kochi as the newest city to join its national lineup of pop-culture festivals. Presented by Maruti Suzuki Arena and powered by Crunchyroll, the inaugural Kochi Comic Con will take place on February 28 and March 1, 2026, at AICC Angamaly, Ernakulam. Tickets are now available exclusively on the District app by Zomato.
After recently expanding to Guwahati and Jaipur, Comic Con continues its mission of taking pop-culture celebrations to more regions across India. Since its launch in 2011, the festival has become one of the country’s most anticipated events, bringing together artists, creators, fans, and global pop-culture communities.
Akshat Rathee, Co-founder & MD, NODWIN Gaming, said the decision to bring Comic Con to Kochi recognises the state’s unique blend of rich comic heritage and fast-growing youth culture. “Kerala’s fans have long stood out at Comic Cons across India. Kochi is ready for its own platform, and we are excited to celebrate a culture that has been growing with so much heart,” he said.
Kerala’s long-standing love for comics—from classics like Chandamama and Champak to modern superhero stories like Minnal Murali and Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra—has shaped a vibrant creative ecosystem. Today, the region is witnessing rapid growth in anime fandom, cosplay circles, gaming communities, and young creators.
Shefali Johnson, CEO, Comic Con India, said Kochi’s openness and strong creative spirit make it the perfect venue. The event will feature meet-and-greets, cosplay competitions, panel sessions, gaming zones, live performances, collectibles, and immersive pop-culture experiences.
Tickets for the Kochi Comic Con 2026 are live on the District app by Zomato.
