Budget 2026–27 Boosts Creator Economy, AI and Skill Development: Industry

Industry stakeholders cite education, AI and vocational measures in post-Budget reactions

Industry leaders welcomed provisions in the Union Budget 2026–27 related to digital education, artificial intelligence, and vocational training, saying the measures could support long-term talent development.

Commenting on the announcement to establish ABGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics) content creator labs across schools and colleges, Deepak Chhabra, Founder of creator economy platform Jubliexx, said the move could help formalise digital creativity as a career pathway for students.

“We welcome the Union Budget 2026–27 and its decisive focus on India’s creator economy. The announcement to establish ABGC content creator labs across schools and colleges is a landmark step in institutionalising digital creativity and preparing the next generation for careers in animation, gaming, visual storytelling, and live content,” he said.

He added that with a large and growing base of digital creators in India, such initiatives may contribute to building a skilled talent pipeline and support the broader digital content ecosystem.
