BLS receives mandate from State Health Agency (SHA) Delhi for beneficiary verification of AB PMJAY

BLS International, the parent company of BLS E-Services, a leading technology-enabled services provider, has received a mandate from the State Health Agency (Delhi) to provide beneficiary verification services for the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PMJAY) in Delhi.

This initiative, in collaboration with the National Health Authority (NHA), aims to distribute PVC co-branded AB-PMJAY cards to 6.54 lakh families across the state. BLS will function in alignment with NHA guidelines and State Government directives to clear the existing backlog of AB PMJAY cards.

As part of the rollout, the Ayushman Vay Vandana Yojana will offer Rs 5 lakh in free health coverage to all senior citizens aged 70 years and above in Delhi. This is expected to benefit over 6 lakh senior citizens from about 4.5 lakh families. Meanwhile, the Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY scheme will extend coverage to around 30 lakh individuals from more than 6.54 lakh families, bringing the total number of beneficiaries from both schemes to approximately 36 lakh people in Delhi.

Shikhar Aggarwal, JMD of BLS International and Chairman of BLS E-Services, said, “We are honored to be entrusted with this critical responsibility by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Delhi. The AB-PMJAY scheme is a game-changer for the people of Delhi, providing access to quality healthcare services to frontline health workers, including ASHAs and Anganwadi workers, senior citizens, and over 6.54 lakh families without financial hardship. We will ensure seamless beneficiary verification services and timely distribution of AB-PMJAY cards. We believe that our expertise and technology infrastructure will play a vital role in making healthcare more accessible and affordable for the people of the National Capital.”

He added that BLS is also working with other state governments. In Odisha, along with the National Health Authority, the company is distributing PVC co-branded AB-PMJAY-GJAY cards to 3.5 crore beneficiaries across the state.

The scheme will provide beneficiaries with access to 1,961 health benefit packages across 27 medical specialties. It offers updated procedures and revised hospital rates, further enhancing access to affordable healthcare for residents of Delhi.
