Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) celebrated its 39th Foundation Day, bringing together its academic and administrative community to mark the institute’s journey and reaffirm its focus on management education, research, innovation and social responsibility.
The celebration was attended by Padma Shri Dr Bharat Bhushan Tyagi of Chetna Vikas Swarajya Trust as the chief guest. The programme included the presentation of the Best Researcher Award 2025, recognition of faculty and staff members completing 10 and 20 years of service, and the release of the Annual Activity Report 2025-26.
BIMTECH Director Dr Prabina Rajib said the Foundation Day was an opportunity to reflect on the institute’s journey and its responsibilities towards society.
“Since its inception, BIMTECH has remained committed to creating an ecosystem where learning goes beyond the classroom and where students are encouraged to think critically, act with integrity and contribute meaningfully to society,” she said.
Tyagi said education should go beyond professional skills and promote ethical leadership, social responsibility and harmony with nature. He also highlighted opportunities in agriculture for entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainable value creation as India works towards its 2047 vision.
The programme also featured an address by Dr Mala Bhandari, Founder Director, SADRAG, on education, skilling and gender equality, followed by an interaction between the guests and students from an NGO.
